There is going to be a huge party all the first weekend in June in Astoria Oregon for the 25th anniversary of the movie the Goonies!!! Honestly I would pass this off as just being a cool geek thing that's going on, but the Ataris are playing AT the event so naturally, if the Ataris are playing within a day's drive of where I live I'm definitely going.
Basically got 2 months before it happens, which is not a lot of time. I'll have to brush up on my Goonies knowledge and watch the film twice a day for the next 2 months. Ok that would be overkill but I will be watching it more than usual. So far they confirmed that the guy who played Mouth and the rich-jerk guy will be there and they are trying to get more of the cast to show up. Honestly, as cool as it would be to meet Sean Astin, they really need to get the guy who played Sloth, that would be awesome!!!
If anyone else is going let me know, we'll have to all hangout and have a good time! Maybe I should go buy that Goonies shirt I saw at Target the other day....
