When In Rome

Just had to write a note that I saw the movie "When In Rome" and while I'm not much of a chick flick guy (at all) I was pleasantly surprised. First off, to all chick flick makers, keep putting humor in your movies to help us guys make it bearable. The comedy in this movie was laugh out loud. Also, there were no sex scenes, which was wonderful! There was one scene in the guy's apartment where they are making out, but it doesn't go any farther so I was glad.

Lastly, I was even more surprised to find a movie coming out of Hollywood, available at all theaters, that got what love really is. I don't want to ruin the movie too much, and maybe you should go see it before reading on. In one scene Danny Devito's character explains that if they (being himself and all the guys under the fountain of love's spell) truly love Beth, they will put her needs above their own; he then offers to help her get where she needs to go and find Nick, the guy she loves. I was touched that a Christlike example of love made it into a movie. I can't help but believe the writers are Christians or have at least read the Bible. Because the fact they got exactly what love it supposed to be, putting someone else needs above their own, into a movie is such a shocker in our culture and time. Great movie!

Oh, and I've been to Rome myself, here's proof: http://picasaweb.google.com/SabinKenobi/EuropeTripRome#
